Elliot Smithberger is a designer, lecturer & researcher at the University of Michigan. 

He received a dual MArch & MS in Digital & Material Technology from the University of Michigan - both with distinction- and a BSArch from The Ohio State University. His work currently focuses on building and prototyping digital design tools, low-cost desktop fabrication machines, and experimental Architectural objects. 

His work & collaborations have been exhibited in UM’s Liberty Research Annex, the Banvard Gallery at the Knowlton School of Architecture, Ann Arbor’s Matthaei Botanical Gardens, and featured in Dimensions, ACADIA, Dezeen, DesignBoom, and Archdaily.
